Service Description: Feature class StormwaterChannel stores geometry and attributes of open man-made or natural conveyance features within the City of Wilmington. This dataset includes channels greater than two feet in depth, swales and ditches less than two feet in depth, selected natural streams, selected tidal creeks, and selected pond reaches. Only those features within the public right-of-way are included within this data set. Data set does not provide a complete hydrological or infrastructural portrait of the city; only those examined features with significance within the City’s stormwater infrastructure are included. Furthermore, the layer is composed of data collected by multiple different entities working under different or unknown procedural frameworks across an extended temporal scale, resulting in data quality discrepancies across the dataset. Dataset is intended as a system inventory guide, and is not a complete survey-grade assessment of the City’s stormwater system.
