Service Description:

Feature class StormwaterCrossPipe stores geometry and attributes of pipe features that have been identified to cross, intersect, or closely travel near stormwater pipe or channel features within the City of Wilmington. Identification of locations where pipes of different systems cross or closely associate enables more effective monitoring and pollution detection efforts in the event of leaks or contamination events. Only those features within the public right-of-way are included within this data set. Data set does not provide a complete hydrological or infrastructural portrait of the city; only those examined features with significance within the City’s stormwater infrastructure are included. Furthermore, the layer is composed of data collected by multiple different entities working under different or unknown procedural frameworks across an extended temporal scale, resulting in data quality discrepancies across the dataset. Dataset is intended as a system inventory guide, and is not a complete survey-grade assessment of the City’s stormwater, water, or sanitary sewer systems.
