Description: Limit of Moderate Wave Action, or LiMWA, is the inland limit of the area expected to receive 1.5-foot or greater breaking waves during the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event. The addition of the LiMWA area to FIRMs allows communities and individuals to better understand the flood risks to their property.Data was obtained by request from NC DPS. Original feature class name is C_CST_Wav_Haz_Mod_NH. It is not currently included in data downloadable from FRIS website (as of April 2018).
